Q. Do I need to tear off my existing siding before residing? A. In many cases, it's not necessary to tear off your existing siding, but you do need to make sure that existing siding is in good condition and will hold nails. We can help you make this determination during the bidding phase of the project. Q. How does the cost of steel siding compare to other siding? A. Although steel may have a slightly higher initial cost than other products, it has been proven to save you more money over time. While vinyl can fade and become unsightly after several years of exposure to the elements, our steel siding is enhanced with DuPont Teflon surface protector, preventing stains from penetrating the surface; keeping surfaces cleaner. Q. Will my siding fade?
A. While any product may fade under certain conditions, your new steel siding is covered by a Lifetime Non-Prorated Limited Warranty that includes Fade Protection.
Q. Do you offer more than one profile for your siding?
A. Absolutely, we have a nice selection to choose from ranging from 4" and 5" standard lap, 8" and 10" board and bat siding. Choose the look that suites your property and yourself best, and match it with fantastic colors.
Q. Do you have soffit and gutters to match my siding? A. Yes, we have gutters, soffit, and fascia in colors to match or compliment your seamless steel siding. Ask to see our color selector to see the colors currently available. We also carry a complete line of shutters, louvers, vents, and other decorative accent items. A. The warranty for your siding covers you against the siding chipping, peeling, flaking, rusting, or blistering. Q. Can I change the color of my siding if I want? A. Although you can repaint your siding, we advise you to choose a timeless color and take advantage of the factory features, like our Cool Paint technology. Meaning that it is finished with a long lasting coating that resists cracking, peeling, flaking, blistering, chipping, fading; and also designed for superior energy performance by using reflective pigments in the paint to help reduce energy consumption. A. In most residential areas, normal rainfall is sufficient to keep the siding surfaces clean but it is recommended to wash the siding annually or more often if the conditions demand.
